Now that the call for sessions is closed, it's time to put together a varied and interesting program for Drupal Downunder. And we'd like your help!
If you're logged in and you're looking at a session proposal, you'll see a link labeled Vote for this session. If you'd really like to see that session at Drupal Downunder, simply click the link. If you change your mind, simply retract your vote for that session. Your votes will remain private.
The Drupal Downunder Melbourne team invites you to sign up and submit a session proposal for the conference. Proposal are requested for sessions around the following topics:
You can read a bit more about each of these topics on the call for sessions page.
DrupalDownunder will be held in Melbourne on the weekend of the 13th, 14th and 15th of January. Mark the date in your diary now.
More than just another industry event, it’s a shared experience that seeks to inspire and engage. Drupal Downunder in Melbourne for 2012 will feature sessions and panels from some of the most influential people and brightest minds within the local Drupal community.
Opportunities for networking, code sprints and informal conversations in the 'hallway track' will round out the conference experience.
Session voting is now closed. The program committee are convening shortly to put together the program for Drupal Downunder 2012.
Once the selected presenters are confirmed, we'll publish the program, so you can pick what you want to see.
The Drupal Downunder conference program is now available for all to see! If you've registered, you can also put together your personal conference schedule.
We've tried to have a good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions, across our topic areas and we've tried to schedule these so that at any given time there should be something of interest for everyone.
If there's nothing that takes your fancy in a particular timeslot, you'll have the opportunity to organise a BOF session with other delegates.
Do you have to test your themes on mobile devices and hate working on a small phone?
Register for Drupal Downunder before the end of 2011 and you will automatically go into the draw to win this iPad2. It'll make testing your responsive themes something you look forward to!
Drupal Downunder are pleased to announce a scholarship program for the 2012 conference, sponsored by CrossFunctional.
This program has been created in an effort to promote learning in the Drupal community and extend its reach.
The recipients of the 2012 Drupal Downunder scholarships have been selected as Wayne Tsai and Shane McDonnell.
The scholarship program, sponsored by CrossFunctional, was created this year in an effort to promote learning in the Drupal community and extend its reach.
Tsai and McDonnell will each receive a ticket to the conference, which includes access to all events, as well as a t-shirt. In addition, they will have access to CrossFunctional's experienced Drupal team in a special informal session.
With months of planning behind us, it's time to get into the conference spirit and connect with fellow attendees.
Official conference tag for all the social media things is #DDU2012
Perhaps you want to organise a Birds of a feather session? Or get some numbers together to book somewhere for dinner on Saturday night? Or maybe arrange a car pool to get to the venue.
We've set up a mailing list just for such discussions.
